Thyme to Grub is more than a restaurant,
it is a story of love, loss, and the strength of family.
It began with a dream shared by Steve and his wife, Kelly. Together, they envisioned a new chapter for their family, a move from Pennsylvania to Delaware, closer to the coast, where life could be slower, fuller, and centered around what mattered most: each other.
They dreamed of building something together
with their 2 children Arkadius and Tridein.

Kelly poured her heart into the creative side of that dream. She designed the original Thyme to Grub logo.
Simple, warm, and full of meaning.
Steve began crafting the menu, imagining the meals that
would bring people together around their tables.
Step by step, that dream became real.
They built their home. They purchased the land
where the restaurant would one day stand.
They began creating the life they had talked about for so long.

And then, in November of 2024, everything changed.
Kelly passed away suddenly.
And in the quiet that followed, the dream stood still.
And the question no one wants to face became unavoidable....
Do we continue… or do we let it go?
Through grief, through heartbreak, and through the love they still shared as a family, the answer slowly came.
Not just from Steve—but from the children, and from Kelly’s parents, Mel and Cathy, who stepped in beside him.

Yes. We continue.
Because this dream was never just about a restaurant.
It was about family.
It was about love.
It was about something Kelly helped create
that deserved to live on.

Today, Thyme to Grub is being built by that same family.
With the support of parents, children, and loved ones—carrying forward the vision that Kelly helped bring to life.
Every meal, every detail, every step forward is part of that story.
A story not just of what was lost…
But of what continues.
